Intern Whiz Kid (June 2009 – August 2009)

  • Developed great sense regarding the functioning of a startup and professional environment.
    • Recreated the website from scratch, translating the backend and incorporating its blog. During this time, web ranking for the company jumped about 10% in ranking points amongst all other websites.
    • Developed prototype for new business platform, creating a software application that interfaced with a new API.
    • Investigated an innovative manner to serve the job seeking population in the Green sector by creating a social application that established a stronger mesh between these people and potential jobs.
    • Spearheaded development of a first of its kind application to combine phone based prototype with web application, serving to both clients and job seekers alike.

VOLUNTEERED AT THE MARIN FOOD BANKNovato, USA

After a summer trip to Europe, spent three weeks helping with the local food bank (August 2008 – September 2008)

  • Spent one day a week over the course of two years working one-on-one with low-income students.
    • Worked with various students, sometimes difficult, about bettering their study habits, improving a multitude of academic skills, and remaining serious about education.
    • Increased my patience, awareness, and communication skills; taught me how to better work with others.
